The first thing
that made me think about establishing a
Balkan Alliance of Hotel Associations were
the barriers caused by the reticence of our
country's contacts towards other countries
and the need to forward the communications
between the hotel business on the Balkan and
wider.
As objectives that I expect to be fulfilled
by active existence of BAHA I can give the
following:
- sending
positive signals to Brussels that some
things happen with good will,
- because
of the small territory and the narrow
market of the Republic of Macedonia and
with a purpose of making it more
attractive,

Combining the offer of the hotel
businesses in representing ourselves in
front of the big tour operators,

Protecting the interests of the
hoteliers on the Balkan territory,
- pplying
educational programs which will be the
same in all member-countries,
- Applying
the same standards in all countries
members of BAHA and forming an
attractive offer attractive to the wider
world market and turning the
bloodstained Balkan into an interesting
tourist destination without borders
where people, ideas and money will have
unstrained float. All of this should
take us closer to the European Union
This will
lead to associating of the people, creating
closer relations and new friendships, and at
the same time will create a new common
market.
