Montenegrin Hotel Association

The Montenegrin Hotel Association was founded by the private hotel owners in May 2004. The mission of our Association was to develop a package of services for our own members, but since December 2005, the Association has grown into a service for the entire tourist industry of Montenegro. The main office of the Association is in Petrovac, Barski put bb. In the year 2005 MHA had 49 members all over the country. Some of the already developed services for the tourist industry are: information services, consulting, education, connecting and PPP partnership, market analyzes, presentations on fairs, getting better conditions from suppliers, lobbying etc. In September 2005 we established together with other partners the Balkan Alliance of Hotel Associations consisting of diverse countries of South East Europe. The Alliance chairmanship is on a six month rota basis, the EU model. On 1. January 2007 Montenegro takes over the presidency and plans to develop international projects. We are turned towards the future and want to make the Balkans an attractive tourist destination, erasing the frontiers built up throughout the history.

Executive director Boris Mardjonovic Boris Mardjonovic was born 1973 in Kotor. After studies of philology and politics in Belgrade he was building of social structures in Serbia and Montenegro through the Caritas network. Since 2004 he is engaged in building of strucures of midle stand economy in Montenegro throgh the international projects. He led the Association since september 2004.
