Romanian Quality
Tourism Association-ACSTR was born at the
initiative of IRECSON which is the main
founder.
ACSTR
is an non-profit, independent, apolitical,
non-governmental organization.
ACSTR has as its
goal the unfolding of activities togother
with the folowing objectives in hotel
industry field, restaurants, entertainment,
tourism, airlines and cruise lines and the
interfacing fields in Romania, creating an
operational material foundation and of a
functional structure.
The ACSTR
requirements are very narrow in order to
raise the quality standards of the tourism
services, simultaneously with the training
of Romanian tourist for the Romanian
competitiveness in tourism to increase on
the quality internal and external
specialised market.
ACSTR will
unfold research and quantification
activities to determine the quality of
tourism services in Romania, joining the
international high level of professionalism
and answering to present and future needs of
the allowed for fields.
In order to
reach these goals, ACSTR aims to:
- Set up
quality certifications and attestation
centers (including data base) in the
field of tourism services in Romania,
respectively in hotel industry,
restaurants, entertainment, tourism,
airlines, cruise lines and other
interfacing domain, including retail and
distribution points.
- Set up
training centers in hotel industry,
restaurants, entertainment, airlines,
cruise lines and other interfacing
fields, including cabinets,
laboratories, workshops, pilot-stations,
sport an entertainment centers, rest and
health houses.
- Edit and
print manual and periodicals, having
distribution points for them.

Scientific, economic, social research
centers, inclusively the specific
international co-operation.
- Training
in and out of the country.
- Organize
reunion, lectures, symposium, local
exhibition centers.
- Provide
information in observed fields
One of the
most important project of ACSTR is the
implementation of Q -brand on the touristic
market in Romania.
Q brand is a
model of good practice for implementation
and certification of the quality of hotel
services in Romania.
Q-ACSTR brand
is optional, expressing the wish for the
prestige of the respective unit of
management, the Q brand mainly assuring the
tourist who is selective entity that he find
there the confort he is looking for and
favorable conditions.
ACSTR is
represented by the President Ion ANDREI in
the Consultative Council from The National
Authority of Tourism and it is actively
involved in the work groups that are writing
the National Strategy of Tourism.
ACSTR members
can be entities from tourism domain, hotel
and restaurant networks, publishing houses,
organisations and associations from tourism
field. ACSTR has members from public
institutions and public companies.
Among our
partners are The Association of Promotion
and Development of Tourism in Maramures, The
National Association of Rural, Ecological
and Cultural Tourism, The Romanian Employers
Federation, Protour Association in Constanta
and the National Association of Chefs and
Pastry Makers from Romania.
